Parajoule

A parajoule was a standard unit of measurement for energy recharges at power stations. Service rates were measured in weighted price per parajoule. The average recharge price at Coruscant power stations in the week leading up to the Military Creation Act vote in 22 BBY^[1] sat at 1.72 credits-per-parajoule, up from the previous week's average of 1.32 credits-per-parajoule, according to a study of over 12,000 of the planet's power stations. This was the largest price hike seen on the Republic capital in over 60 standard years.^[2]
