Paper cranes were objects made of paper that shared their name with cranes. They could be white or silver in color and had four wings configured similarly to an X-wing starfighter.[1]

Paper cranes appeared in "The Song of Four Wings", a non-canon short film directed by Hiroyasu Kobayashi that released as part of the third volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Project Studio Q, released on Disney+ on October 29, 2025. They were first mentioned in a StarWars.com article published on April 20, 2025.[1]
