A navy was maintained by the Pantoran Assembly during the Imperial Era as the fall of the Galactic Republic isolated Pantora from the rest of the galaxy and the government struggled with lawlessness in the surrounding space. The navy was slowly built up to a small force of patriots and volunteers, though the Pantorans feared that the Galactic Empire would take notice if their navy became any larger.[1]
