"My dad flew with Phantom Squadron at Kashyyyk but he's dead. So I came instead."
"I appreciate your father's service."
―Pacer Agoyo and Poe Dameron[2]

A male individual was the father of[2] the human[3] male Pacer Agoyo, who also had a sister named Puwanini and a brother. Agoyo's father flew as a pilot in the New Republic's Phantom Squadron during the Liberation of Kashyyyk[2] in 5 ABY. By 34 ABY,[1] the man had passed away.[2] That year,[1] the Resistance gathered a number of allies for their cause. As his father was dead, Agoyo went in his place, wearing a Phantom Squadron uniform. During the gathering, Agoyo told Commander Poe Dameron about his father's time in the New Republic, to which Dameron noted that he appreciated his father's service.[2]

Behind the scenes

Pacer Agoyo's father was mentioned in the 2019 novel Resistance Reborn, written by Rebecca Roanhorse.[2]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Resistance Reborn—which Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of to 34 ABY—establishes that Pacer Agoyo's father died before the novel's events. As the book also states Agoyo's father participated in the Liberation of Kashyyyk, which Timelines dates to 5 ABY, he must therefore have passed away between 5 ABY and 34 ABY.
