The SFS P-w702 ion maneuvering jet was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems as an upgrade to the SFS P-w401 ion maneuvering jet. It provided enhanced thrust propulsion to starfighters equipped with an ion drive. Two were used on TIE Series starfighters.
Scythe Squadron, a TIE/LN starfighter squadron, was equipped with the upgraded maneuvering jets to improve flight performance within the tight confines of the second Death Star.
