Ovica was a pilot and security officer who lived during the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, Captain Ovica frequently patrolled the mining areas of the Dantooine system in their Z-95 Headhunter.[1]

Ovica appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] Captain Ovica was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004. Captain Ovica was a starfighter boss that had a low probability to spawn among a group of miner guard starfighters in the Dantooine system.[1]
