An oversight board was active within the Galactic Empire during the construction of the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station. It was composed of six directors who reported directly to Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine's advisory committee. Imperial scientist Galen Walton Erso regularly sent data to the board through the HoloNet, though as secrecy around the project grew and security tightened, Erso began using an Imperial intranet server for the data transfers.[1]
