- ―Rep Teers to Boss Rugor Nass
The Otoh Gunga Challenge was a sports racing event that was held in the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga on the planet Naboo. It was open to anyone with a single engine sub, able to achieve a speed of at least 100 longos and fast enough to outswim any klaa fish.[1]
After the Battle of Naboo, the Challenge was held, which saw tourists arrive and witness the bongo racing at the Otoh Gunga Garden bubble.[1]
At one race, two aggressive racers, Neb Neb Goodrow and Spleed Nukkels, crashed, forcing them both to eject from their subs, and leading to the disappearance of Zak "Squidfella" Quiglee. Brooboo Seep was the eventual winner of the tumultuous race. The following race, the two crashed again, to the amusement and delight of the fans.[1]
Rules of the game
The rules of the game specifically stated that no weapons were allowed whatsoever, regardless if they were equipped on a sub or carried by a participant. This meant that military subs were prohibited unless they were decommissioned and unarmed; in other words, in the defenceless state of all other participating subs. These were the only restrictions for anyone entering into the competition. Otherwise, the rules were wide open for contestants.[1]
