An Osteo fragmenter was an interrogation tool designed to extract information from a captive prisoner.[1] In 34 ABY,[2] an osteo fragmenter was one of many interogation tools stored in an alcove in the interrogation room of the First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer Finalizer when Kylo Ren, leader of the Knights of Ren, interrogated the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron there.[3] Later that year[2] during the occuaption of the planet Batuu by the First Order,[4] an osteo fragmenter stored[1] in a small white case was sat atop a crate in the courtyard of Savi's Workshop in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu.[4]
Behind the scenes
An osteo fragmenter first appeared in the 2015 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens.[3] The prop was then first itdentified in the 2016 sourcebook Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.[5]
