- "There are depths."
- ―Osamael Or
The Gree, and Everything I Have Found of Them in the Old City was a personal diary written in a symbology by the Tythan frontiersman Osamael Or during his exploration of the Old City on Tython.
Overview
- "Much of what it says is obscure and does lead me to believe the stories of Osamael's madness. But there are three mentions of something that translates as 'step to the stars.' And toward the end of the diary—it's very short, and I suspect much more once existed—he says he's searching for designs."
- ―Lanoree Brock
The Gree, and Everything I Have Found of Them in the Old City was written in a symbology. Within the text, Osamael Or described a device that was powered by dark matter, which was translated as a 'step to the stars'.[1]
Description
The Gree, and Everything I Have Found of Them in the Old City was a leather-bound book, handwritten in ink on paper and card. The cover was worn around the edges and blank.[1]
History
- "It seems he found something of the Gree down there. And if my translation of the diary's obtuse wording is accurate, the technology your spies heard about—the dark matter device—might well be of Gree origin."
- ―Lanoree Brock
Osamael Or's diary would later fall into the possession of the Kalimahr industrialist Kara, who kept the leather-bound book in a secret collection of ancient artifacts. In 25,793 BBY, Je'daii Ranger Lanoree Brock would find the script "strange," the wording of the book "obtuse," and much of what it describes obscure.[1]
