Ord Tessebok was a Mid Rim planet situated in the Irishi sector. Serving as a Galactic Republic Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost during the Pius Dea Era, millennia later it loosened its immigration restrictions for people displaced by the Separatist Crisis. Eventually the planet became a part of the New Republic.

Description

Ord Tessebok was a planet[4] located in the Ord Tessebok system, a part of the Irishi sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was situated on the Entralla Route hyperlane, which linked it to the Gonmore and Vvan systems.[3]

History

Ord Tessebok was a Galactic Republic outpost during the Great Northern Crusade in 11,884 BBY.

Ord Tessebok was a Galactic Republic outpost during the Great Northern Crusade in 11,884 BBY.

Ord Tessebok served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic during the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between approximately 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY. It lay outside the borders of the Republic and in fact was located within what was at the time considered Wild Space. The planet was eventually situated in the area where the Republic waged the Great Northern Crusade against various local alien species in 11,884 BBY.[3]

Around 13:3, the Refugee Resettlement Coalition, a group of planets willing to resettle on their surface galactic citizens displaced by the then-ongoing Separatist Crisis, was formed. Ord Tessebok became a member of the coalition and eventually was one of the group's ten Mid Rim worlds to loosen their immigration restrictions for said people, a fact that was noted in the 13:4:18 issue of the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News.[4] Ord Tessebok fell within the borders of the New Republic between 12 ABY and 13 ABY.[3]

Inhabitants

According to official census records,[4] in 22 BBY[5] Ord Tessebok's population numbered 2.5 billion.[4]

Behind the scenes

Ord Tessebok was introduced in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #52, an issue of the representation of the in-universe HoloNet News[4] that was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens[6] and published by April 18, 2002.[7] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Ord Tessebok system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square K-6.[2]
