Orbital defense station

Orbital defense stations were a kind of space station used to protect planets. One such station orbited the planet Chandrila about 4,000 years before the Battle of Yavin.[1] Orbital defense stations were armed with proton torpedo launchers with a large ammunition capacity.[2]
