The Orbital Industrial Zone was a huge net of industrial facilities that orbited the planet Corellia. Centuries before the Battle of Yavin, the government of Corellia moved its industries in orbit to avoid an ecological disaster, resulting in the development of the Orbital Industrial Zone. The entirety of the Orbital Industrial Zone spread across half of Corellia's orbit. It encompassed factories, foundries, refineries, and shipyards connected to one another by flexible gantries tens or hundreds of kilometers long. CEC had its yards there, and the Corellian defense fleet had also its headquarters in orbit. The Orbital Industrial Zone was overseen by the Corellian Port Authority.[1]
