Omwatese was the native language of the Omwati species from Omwat. Omwatese used some odd tonal inflections, but was nevertheless considered an elegant language. The language had a written form[1]
There was a written form of Omwatese, which used a flowing script and letters that had to be combined to form words.[1]
Most Omwati were fluent in both Omwatese and Basic, being literate in both languages.
After Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin came to the planet in search of a child who could be molded into a genius, the word "Tarkin" was absorbed in to the language as another word for Demon.
