The Omega Initiative was a fail-safe mechanism designed to systematically trigger the electrostatic charges implanted in the hearts of all the inmates in the Cog Hive Seven prison.[1] In 33 BBY,[2] Warden Sadiki Blirr launched this mechanism after the prison was attacked by Jabba the Hutt's forces. Most of the prison inmates perished as the result.[1]
