The Officers' Candidacy Training was the Imperial Navy's officer training program. A recruit was required to have been enlisted for at least five years and have the necessary leadership qualities to participate in the program. This program offered the opportunity of rapid advancement. After the training, the officers could easily command a strategic military outpost, such as a starfighter squadron or even a Star Destroyer.[1]
