A Human, Odin Nesloor lost his family when their ship disappeared into hyperspace sometime before the year 32 BBY. Nesloor went to the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine in search of his family and worked as a Podracer mechanic at the Mos Espa Grand Arena shortly before the start of the Boonta Eve Classic Podrace in 32 BBY.
Biography
Odin Nesloor was a Human who lost his family when their ship vanished into hyperspace[1] sometime prior to 32 BBY.[2] He combed the galaxy looking for them, and his best lead took him to the[1] Outer Rim desert planet[3] Tatooine.[1] In the year 32 BBY,[4] he was in the Podracer hangar at Tatooine's Mos Espa Grand Arena working as a Podrace mechanic just prior to the start of the Boonta Eve Classic race.[3]
Personality and traits
Odin Nesloor had brown hair and fair skin. As a typical Human, Nesloor was not capable of piloting the extremely fast Podracers. However, he still worked as a Podrace mechanic. He was part of a group of expert mechanics who were largely unsung geniuses and who built some of the best engines for Podracers. On at least one occasion, Nesloor wore a green jumpsuit, black coveralls, and welding goggles.[5]
Behind the scenes
Miniature Odin Nesloor look-alike
Odin Nesloor first appeared in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.[3] He was later included as a card in the Coruscant Limited expansion set for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game.[1] He was mentioned and pictured in the 1999 reference book Star Wars: Episode I The Visual Dictionary[5] and the subsequent 2006 omnibus Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary.[6] Star Wars Miniatures: Bounty Hunters contains a miniature figure of a Dark Hellion swoop gang member who has a strong resemblance to Odin Nesloor.[7]
