Oasis[3] was a volcanic moon orbiting an unnamed planet in a star system located within the Maelstrom Nebula. The moon was home to the Oasis mining colony, a thriving settlement where Oxite was mined. Both Rodin Higron's privateers and the Rebels had a base here during the Galactic Civil War. Some time after the Battle of Yavin, the Riders of the Maelstrom attacked the moon and attempted to crash the luxury liner Kuari Princess into Higron's base.[2]
Behind the scenes
The unlicensed—and thus non-canon—roleplaying magazine article "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are" attributes the Oasis system to the Riders of the Maelstrom adventure scenario[4] which was the first source to mention the Oasis mining colony moon,[2] and places the system in Relgim sector.[4]
