Nulan VI was a celestial body[3] situated in the Nulan system of the Hook Nebula,[1] a part of the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was the site of a capital that, at some point by the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, rebelled against the Galactic Empire and allied itself with the Rebel Alliance.[3]

In response, as part of the Galactic Civil War's Hook Nebula campaign, the Imperial Qeimet fleet besieged Nulan VI, and the fleet's Scimitar assault wing carried out deep-atmospheric precision bombing that forced the capital to surrender. The siege of Nulan VI was subsequently mentioned in a compilation of Imperial documents made by Rebel historian Major Arhul Hextrophon for Alliance Supreme Commander Mon Mothma and other Rebel officers.[3]

Behind the scenes

Nulan VI was first mentioned in Greg Gorden's 1989 Imperial Sourcebook that was published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Nulan system, and therefore Nulan VI, in grid square O-18.[2] "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, How I Wonder Where We Are," a 1990 roleplaying game source article that was published in the thirteenth issue of the Voyages SF magazine[5] and was non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity,[6] placed the Nulan system in the Ammuud sector.[5]
