Nomad-Damon was a traveler who introduced many Ubese Thorn-Back War Dragons to populated worlds during the Clone Wars.[1]
Behind the scenes
Nomad-Damon was created by Mark Rehkopf, a Star Wars fan, for the backstory of his Ubese Thorn-Back War Dragon entry in the Design An Alien contest held for Star Wars Galaxy Magazine, which was eventually published in the seventh issue of the magazine in 1996. Leland Chee, the Lucasfilm continuity editor, later stated that the "Design an Alien" material was canon.[2]

Holocron continuity database questions on the StarWars.com Message Boards (May 3, 2006): "Star Wars Galaxy Magazine #7 published the winners of the "Design an Alien" contest, where fans were encouraged to submit artwork and backstories of new SW aliens. Are these aliens canon? [...] Yes, though any text discrepencies with other sources would likely to superceded by the other source." (original site is defunct)
