Night barbarbarbs were a type of tiny creature that made chirping noises to serenade one another. By the time of the High Republic Era, several of the creatures were present in Lonisa City Zoo on[1] the Outer Rim[2] planet Valo.[1] In 231 BBY,[3] Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram approached the zoo's gates while traveling across Valo, hearing chirping noises that he thought could possibly be from the establishment's night barbarbarbs.[1]

Night barbarbarbs were mentioned in Race to Crashpoint Tower, a 2021 junior novel written by Daniel José Older as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[4]
