Neb Ufentes was a noted starship engineer and expert in hyperspace theory. He was contracted by Drooim-Durtha Systems to create the ShipFinder subspace tracking beacon. After perfecting the device, Ufentes was killed when his lab on the edge of the Corva sector was raided by the crime lord Mahk'khar.
