An Imperial Shipyard orbited Nar Shaddaa, the moon of Nal Hutta. The Shipyards were built in an attempt to increase Imperial influence in the Baxel sector in the Outer Rim Territories, and focuses on the production of TIE fighters.[1]
The Hutts were originally unhappy about the Shipyards, but eventually accepted them because they could sell raw materials to the Empire. The Rebel Alliance attempted on multiple occasions to sabotage supply shipments traveling to the Shipyards, but were unsuccessful.[1]
