Namenthe was a scavenger who operated on the desert planet Jakku. They salvaged proton bombs from a TIE bomber in the Starship Graveyard, an area of the Goazon Badlands littered with the wreckage of starships destroyed in the Battle of Jakku[2] in 5 ABY.[3] Namenthe drove a speeder full of the bombs through the Graveyard until two of the explosives smacked against one another too hard[2] near the Kelvin Ravine,[4] killing Namenthe in an explosion powerful enough to create[2] a large[4] crater that became known as Namenthe's Crater.[2] By 34 ABY,[1] the scavenger Rey wrote about Namenthe's fate as a warning to others scavenging proton bombs in a survival guide that[2] she[3] compiled.[2]
