Captain Naffer was an Imperial officer who served aboard the Super Star Destroyer Executor. During the Galactic Civil War, Naffer sighted the freighter Millennium Falcon after it landed on the Green Moon while searching for the missing Rebel leader Princess Leia Organa, and he personally reported his discovery to the Imperial Supreme Commander Darth Vader.

Behind the scenes

Captain Naffer was a character who featured in a rough draft of the script for the movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. However, he did not appear in the final version of the film.
