The Mid Rim planet[2] Naboo had engagement rituals during the High Republic Era.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] after[4] the Mikkian female[1] Zeen Mrala and the human[4] female[1] Lula Talisola informed one another they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together,[4] Mrala researched the engagement rituals from Naboo as she planned to ask Talisola—a native of Naboo—to marry her.[1]

However, Mrala found that none of the rituals fit, so she decided to instead ask Sevran Tarkin—a member of the Tarkin family on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] Eriadu—to craft her a bracelet for Talisola instead. While traveling to[1] the Mid Rim planet[2] Malastare[1] that year,[3] Mrala informed her friends[1] Jedi Knights[5]Qort and[1] Farzala Tarabal[2]—about her research into the engagement rituals from Naboo after telling the two of her intent to ask Talisola to marry her.[1]
