- "(Galactic horticulturists and mythologists would certainly be interested to learn that the legendary Silver Forest of Dreams does exist and is, in fact, located on Kubindi.)"
- ―Obo Rin, Catalog of Intelligent Life in the Galaxy
A mythologist was a type of specialist. One subject of interest to mythologists was the Silver Forest of Dreams,[1] a forest of giant trees[2]—the location and even existence of which had acquired legendary qualities by the time of the reign of the Galactic Empire—that was located on[1] the Outer Rim Territories[3] planet Kubindi. The sentientologist Obo Rin noted in an entry of his publication Catalog of Intelligent Life in the Galaxy dedicated to the Kubaz species that the actual existence of the Silver Forest of Dreams, as well as its location on Kubindi, would be of interest to both mythologists and galactic horticulturists.[1]
Behind the scenes
The occupation of mythologist was introduced in the Star Wars franchise via Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a 1989 sourcebook authored by Troy Denning for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1] In the real world, a mythologist is an expert in mythology,[4] that is, the study of myths.[5]
