"I tell you now, Garnet. You bad smuggler. Verr bad. Make Mogroch angry."
"Mogroch's got to wait. I…"
"No wait! Wait long enough. Two days, Garnet. Two days, 10,000 credits. Two days to live for you."
―A Muur and Roark Garnet[1]

The Muurs were a sentient species[1] hailing from[3] the Inner Rim's Muuria system.[2] Their body featured numerous tentacles, which could be strong enough to allow to fling a Human across a room. Muurs could speak in a hissing and spitting manner and could also laugh.[1]

During the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a Basic-speaking Muur worked as an enforcer for the being Mogroch. At one point, the Muur confronted the Human smuggler Roark Garnet about the latter's outstanding debt of ten thousand credits to his employer. The Muur used two of his tentacles to choke Garnet and also remove the Human's blaster, and, after the enforcer had delivered his warning, he threw Garnet across the room and rapidly left the room they were in.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Muur species was introduced in the 1987 rulebook for the first edition of West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
