"Where are the Royal Guards who are supposed to stop bad ideas like this?"
"Who, Murray? Oh, he's out on paternity leave."
―Super Ace and Killer, regarding Murray — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[1]

Murray was a male Imperial Royal Guard who was granted paternity leave—as a result of fathering at least one child—to while serving aboard a vessel. When a pair of stormtroopers, Super Ace and Killer, entered the Emperor's throne room on the vessel, Killer cited Murray's paternity leave as to why the room's Royal Guards were absent.[1]

Behind the scenes

Murray was mentioned in a 2012 promotional clip on StarWars.com of Star Wars Detours,[1] an indefinitely postponed[2] animated series created by George Lucas.[3]
