Muon Gold
The Muon Gold was a lubricant-based spice that gave the user intensified mental clarity and focus for a short time. However, due to its eventual degrading effect on neural pathways, it was banned by the Galactic Empire. It was therefore smuggled heavily and taken as a cheap drug.
The Muon Gold was the favorite spice of the Bestine Pirates. These pirates were present in the Tatoo system and named the region of space they inhabited, the Pirate's Gold, after the spice.[1]
Behind the scenes
Muon Gold appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
