- "The Kaikielii had been a key power at the dawn of the Republic, and its governors accepted homage from numerous colony planets—Ruan, the moons of Jonsior, even Foerost. But over the millennia, these achieved full membership and shifting fate left the hub behind."
- ―Doctor Gabrel Treon, "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji: A Cartel of Genes"
The moons of Jonsior[2] were located in the Jonsior system. They were a part of the Arrowhead region in the Slice portion of the Core Worlds.[1] During the early history of the Galactic Republic,[2] which was founded in 25,053 BBY,[3] the settlers of the moons of Jonsior paid homage to the governors of the planet Kaikielius,[2] located in the Kaikielius system.[4] That changed, however, when the moons became full members of the Republic during the millennia leading up to approximately 5000 BBY. The historical allegiance of the moons of Jonsior to Kaikielius was briefly noted in Doctor Gabrel Treon's 104 ABY article "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji: A Cartel of Genes" that was published in the Byblos Journal of Historical Science.[2]
Behind the scenes
The moons of Jonsior were introduced in "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Praji," an article authored by Nathan O'Keefe and published as part of the StarWars.com Hyperspace feature on February 5, 2009.[2] The August 18, 2009[5] reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Jonsior system, and therefore the moons, in grid square L-10.[1]
