The Model 40 field repulsor hoist was a model of field repulsor hoist designed by Sergeant Lidiah Alexakis that was manufactured by Alliance Military Research and Development. It was a small device that used low-output repulsorlifts to lift vehicles for repair or towing. Its design consisted of six sets of fist-sized lifting units containing repulsor coils, power cells, and a powerful magnet or a multi-adhesive pad. It was placed into a shock-resistant, environmentally sealed case with its control unit. To use the Model 40, an engineer would have to attach the Model 40 to a vehicle, and use its control unit to move or lift it.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Model 40 field repulsor hoist was first mentioned in Fully Operational,[1] a 2018 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[2]
