Miztoc was an astronomical object[3] located in the Miztoc system, a part of the Irnaj sector[1] in the Western Reaches portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was situated on the D'Aelgoth Trade Route hyperlane,[2] which linked it to the Keltos system[4] as well as the Feenix system of the D'Aelgoth sector and the Wornal sector's Kriselist system.[5]
Miztoc was the site of Miztoc City and, during the Galactic Civil War, was under the control of the Galactic Empire. At some point by the time shortly after the Battle of Yavin, the battle of Miztoc City took place there.[3] The Rebel Alliance was victorious in[2] that decisive engagement, which was won due to the Human operative Mygo Skinto first offering her services to the Alliance and which saw Miztoc become independent from the Empire. Alliance General Airen Cracken later noted Skinto's role in Miztoc's history in an entry dedicated to her that was part of a datafile detailing various Rebel operatives.[3]
Behind the scenes
Miztoc was created by Chuck Truett and was introduced in Cracken's Rebel Operatives, a 1994 West End Games sourcebook published for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Miztoc system, and therefore the celestial body, in grid square K-17.[2]
