"In the Mystril safe house there is a shrine with several jars on it. Take one of the jars of Emberlene Essence."
Cam'doen[1]

The Mistryl Safehouse was a building outside the town of Theed on the Mid Rim world Naboo. It was used by the Mistryl Shadow Guard, a mercenary organization, as a safe place to stage their operations. Inside the house, the mercenaries from Emberlene had built a memorial shrine where they could remember their homeworld and leave offerings. Like most Emberlene memorial shrines it was stocked with Emberlene Essence that evoked memories of the deep woods of the Mistryl's homeworld.[1]

Several slicers worked for the Mistryl at this location. It was guarded by well-armed Mistryl Skirmishers and Mistryl Assault Troopers.[1]

In 1 ABY,[2] a mercenary of the Azure Cabal mercenary organization gained access to the safe house and stole a bottle of Emberlene Essence from the memorial shrine. He then used the essence during an attack on the Cult of M'dweshuu to blame the Mistryl for the attack.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Mistryl Safehouse was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] The Mistryl Safehouse was added to the game as part of the Azure Cabal questline,[1] released with the "Chapter 6" update, on May 22, 2007.[4]

This building could be found near the town of Theed, near the edge of the no-build zone around the city that prevents players from placing their houses there.[1] The building used is a typical Naboo building known as the "Medium Naboo House," which can also be crafted and owned by players.[5]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
