During the Republic Era, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, went on a mission to the jungle planet Teth to investigate the possible involvement of the Hutts in the disappearance of agricultural shipments on the Triellus Trade Route.^[1]

Unfortunately, the mission proved problematic for the Jedi due to poor teamwork between Jinn and Kenobi, as Kenobi was captured by the Hutts and used as a hostage.^[1]
