Several months before the Battle of Geonosis^[2] in 22 BBY,^[1] a mission to Taris was undertaken by the Jedi Knight and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker. During the journey to Taris, Skywalker tinkered with a model of comlink which they used during the mission. Shortly after the Clone Wars began, the mission was recalled by Kenobi when Skywalker gave his former Master one of the comlinks that had been used on the mission to privately communicate with Skywalker during his upcoming mission to Cato Neimoidia.^[2]
