"Jekiah. I owe you an apology. At the first whisper of betrayal, you said to rein in the clans. I should have listened. But I'll cut you a deal. You don't say 'I told you so,' and I won't either. We needed someone suited to all the practical nonsense of leadership. I told you that wasn't me. If Heta continues, we lose everything. All of us. The Republic and the Sith will destroy the Mando'ade, no matter whose banner they carry. Shielding us from an outside threat—ensuring our future—is something I can do. It's what I will do. I need to stop Heta, and there's only one person who can tell me how to find her. The reason that Sith besbe'trayc ended up in her hands. Ni ceta, Jekiah. I hope you understand."
―Shae Vizla's message to Jekiah Ordo[1]

Malgus's escape[5] was an event that took place around 3623 BBY in which Shae Vizla and her mercenaries undertook a mission to Carrick Station. Fearing that the war that Heta Kol started would draw the ire of both the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, who could step in and destroy all Mandalorians regardless of their affiliation, Vizla rescinded her title and decided to align herself with the one person that knows how to find Heta Kol and put a stop to her: Darth Malgus, breaking the Sith Lord out of Carrick Station and escaping.[1]

Behind the scenes

For Imperial classes, Shae Vizla heads to Vaiken Spacedock instead. Aside from differences in droid models present, the battle remains the same.[1]
