The Mining Guild excavation driller was an excavation drill used the Mining Guild. A single pilot would operate the vehicle, which was capable of large-scale digging and mining.[1] Mining Guild excavation drillers were part of the Galactic Empire's excavation of the Lothal Jedi Temple on the planet Lothal. During a mission to the temple[2] in 1 BBY,[3] the Spectres hijacked a driller to escape the site as it collapsed.[4]

The Mining Guild excavation driller first appeared in "Wolves and a Door"[2] and was later identified in a Databank entry on StarWars.com following the episode's release.[1]
