The Minas Stinger was a concept model of Y-Engine speeder that was used during the Third Galactic War. The Minas Y-Engine line was only released to a limited market, making them a collector's item, however as only a few Stingers ever made it to production, the Stinger is the rarest of the lot. It featured a supercharged turbine, improving the base speed above that of other speeders in this line.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Minas Stinger was a player mount in the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. It was added to the game in Game Update 7.7.1 as a reward for the Galactic Seasons 9 event.[2] In-game, the Minas Stinger allowed the player to travel as if they had achieved Speeder Piloting III, whilst only having Speeder Piloting I. Additionally, the max speed increased, resulting in a top speed of 130% compared to regular in-game mounts.[1]
