An M-3PO military protocol droid
Military protocol droids,[1] also known as protocol and regulations droids,[2] were a subclass of protocol droid designed for military applications.[3] Though classified as class three droids,[4] they were also categorized as battle droids.[5] Manufactured by Cybot Galactica, the M-3PO military protocol droid, a variant of the 3PO-series protocol droid, was an example of such a droid.[4]
IMP-22 was an Imperial military protocol droid programmed in politics and warfare, which made it a valuable advisor.[6] The military protocol droid M-3PO served as the quartermaster of Rogue Squadron.[1]
