Microwave radiation was a form of radiation in the electromagnetic spectrum. Various machines such as microwave fermentation devices (used to ferment Deltron spice wine) and weapons such as microwave projectors utilized microwaves.
Some droids were equipped with microwave sensors. I-5YQ had a microwave projector beam custom installed in him. The J9 worker drone contained a Torplex microwave sensor.
