A microflamer was a type of tool that used fuel to produce flames. During the High Republic Era, the mercenary Ty Yorrick carried one of the devices as part of her equipment.[1] In 231 BBY,[2] Yorrick killed a Drengir—a type of sentient, carnivorous plant—on the swamp planet Safrifa. Afterward, she considered whether her microflamer still had enough fuel to start a bonfire, concluding that it did. Yorrick then cut up the Drengir's corpse with her lightsaber and used the tool to burn each piece, recording her actions via holo as proof for the Safrifans who had hired her for the job.[1]

A microflamer appeared in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[3]
