Mezlo was a human strategist from the planet Oru. After Oru was taken over by the First Order, Mezlo led a resistance group of Oruan warriors in an attempt to force the First Order off their world. The Oruans failed and were forced to flee, eventually coming to reside at Horizon Base. Resistance members Finn and Gannis Ducain visited Horizon Base to recruit the Oruans, who were initially hesitant to help. Mezlo was eventually persuaded otherwise, choosing not to go with the Resistance but promising to aid them if they requested.^[1]
