The Metharian Nebula was a nebula located in the Tantra sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It shared its name with the Metharian Nebula Territories, a region that contained the Elrood sector[2] and the Tantra system.[3]

In 1 ABY, the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Brazen was severely damaged near the Degan Gas Clouds by the Khuiumin Survivors. The Star Destroyer managed to escape the battle and went to Derilyn to receive temporary repairs on its engines at the facilities of the Derilyn Space Defense Platform. The plan was to perform limited repairs on the Star Destroyer so that it would be able to reach a fully-equipped Imperial Navy shipyard, most probably a deepdock facility located towards the Metharian Nebula. However, the Brazen was destroyed by Rebel agents who infiltrated the Derilyn Space Defense Platform.[2]
