Meteorite storm

Meteorite storms^[2] or meteorite showers^[3] were celestial events in which meteorites descended through a planetary atmosphere and struck the ground, resulting in a dangerous hail of burning space rocks.^[4] Imperial propaganda proclaimed that the destruction of Tantive IV resulted from a critical failure of the shift shields during a meteorite storm.^[5]
