The Mercurial was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer in service to the navy of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Imperial pilot Gareth Agamar served as the Star Destroyer's aerospace group commander for a long period prior to taking over the 481st Experimental Starfighter Testing Squadron.[2] As an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, Mercurial had a length of 1,600 meters[3] and was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards.[1]

The Mercurial was mentioned in "Phantoms in the Dark," a scenario included in the 2015 Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Strongholds of Resistance, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games as part of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game.[2]
