The Merchant's Consortium was a business association that operated on Iol, a planet in the Unknown Regions that was controlled by the company Tangan Industries. The council was constituted of representatives of various companies that had the permission of Tangan to trade their goods and services with Iol's colonists, and the consortium held regular meetings with Tangan in the city Haven, to discuss business matters.[1]
