Mend-gel was a type of medical substance that could be used to heal wounds. Grand Admiral Rae Sloane felt that mend-gel had properties comparable to bacta,[1] a type of thick, gelatinous substance with miraculous healing properties.[2] By the time of the Galactic Civil War, mend-gel was often available on civilized worlds.[1] In 5 ABY,[3] when Sloane was injured on the desolate planet Jakku, she wished she was somewhere civilized so that she could heal her wounds with mend-gel.[1]

Mend-gel was mentioned in Aftermath: Empire's End, a 2017 novel written by Chuck Wendig as the third installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
