- "When now we visit the Memorial to the Missing of Ghorman, the Graveyard at Alderaan, the Wroshyr Mural on Kashyyyk, or the Hall of the Unknown on Chandrila, among others, we must reflect upon the fact that so vast was the system of Imperial genocide that we may never know anything about the majority of those we lost except for the fact that they died."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
The Memorial to the Missing of Ghorman was a memorial to those killed on[1] the Colonies[2] planet[3] Ghorman by the Galactic Empire during its reign, which included the Ghorman Massacre in 2 BBY.[1] In 35 ABY,[4] the historian Beaumont Kin mentioned the memorial alongside similar structures in[1] his[5] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, reminding readers that so many died under the Empire that no information remained on many of the victims.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Memorial to the Missing of Ghorman was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
