Medibeds were a type of bed used to treat injured patients in Medical bays. The medcenter onboard the space station Starlight Beacon was equipped with medibeds.[1] In 231 BBY,[2] Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee was injured in a fight against Muglan Tarantyne aboard the Republic correctional vessel Restitution. Dee was treated in a medibed and overseen by Councilor Jon Wittick.[3]

Medibeds first appeared in the Star Wars Insider short story "Starlight: First Duty" by Cavan Scott, part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project, which was published in Star Wars Insider 201[1] on March 30, 2021.[4]
